Hello IHGS Students & Families!
Welcome to the Island Heights Grade School, Home of the Sea Devils ! We are excited to begin another wonderful school year and look forward to learning and growing together. Here at IHGS we focus on “Every Sea Devil, Every Day.” Each day at Island Heights Grade School, our staff works hard to provide our PreK-6 Sea Devils with opportunities to grow and succeed at their highest potential.
A successful school experience is built on a strong partnership between students, families, and staff. We encourage open communication and value the important role families play in their child's education. When we all work together and communicate with one another the possibilities are endless!
At Island Heights Grade School, we are proud to foster a positive school climate where every student is treated with kindness and respect. We expect all students to make good choices, show respect for others, follow school rules, and take responsibility for their actions. Together, we create a school where everyone feels safe, welcomed, and ready to learn.
Our school prides itself on building a positive climate through our character education program, Character Strong . Each day our students are reminded to Be Kind , Be Strong , and Be Well . Over time these skills will become naturally embedded within the culture of our school, and throughout our students’ lives.
