A Message from Timothy Rehm
Superintendent of Island Heights School District:

As you already may know, the majority of voters in Island Heights approved the Island Heights School District referendum yesterday. On behalf of the Board of Education and administration, I want to take a moment to thank you and all of our advocates for supporting the referendum and, most important, for your unwavering commitment to the Island Heights School District and our mission to provide a stellar education to our students.

The Grade School was in critical need of basic repairs and no-frills upgrades. Bolstered by $1.2 million from the state, we were positive this was the right time to ask our citizens for the needed improvements. I’m elated that the citizens of Island Heights showed their support yesterday, and know it was only possible through the dedication and hard work of our staff, parents/guardians, and community supporters.

The administration and board of education reached out to all of our constituents to ensure everyone was educated about the referendum, address any concerns and answer questions. If you have any questions or concerns about the approved budget, please do not hesitate to contact me at trehm@islandheights.k12.nj.us , or by calling the Board of Education Office at 732-929-1211. We appreciate your feedback and input.

I look forward to working with all of you during this exciting time for Island Heights School District; I am particularly enthusiastic about the road ahead.

Again, thank you!
