The Island Heights Board of Education is seeking a qualified resident of the Borough of Island Heights to fill an unexpired term on the Board of Education which will run through December 2026.

Qualification as per N.J.S.A. 18A:12

• Shall be a citizen and resident of Island Heights for at least one (1) year prior to appointment.
• Must be able to read and write.
• Shall be registered to vote in Island Heights, and notwithstanding the provision of N.J.S. 2c:51-1, or any other law to the contrary, he or she is not disqualified as a voter pursuant to R.S.19:4-1.
• Shall not hold office as mayor or member of the municipal governing body of Island Heights.
• Board Members shall not be interested directly or indirectly in any contract with or claim against the Board.
